About Part 107 HQ

Part 107 HQ is an independent English-language study site for the FAA initial Remote Pilot knowledge test, Unmanned Aircraft General – Small (UAG). It offers free practice questions, source-linked study guides and a timed mock exam, with paid plans for the complete question bank and additional study tools. Independent study site. Not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or any test provider.

How the content is made and checked

  • Official sources only. Questions are based on public FAA material: 14 CFR Part 107 and related regulations, the Remote Pilot Airman Certification Standards, FAA handbooks and advisory circulars, the FAA testing supplement and FAA aeronautical charts and data.
  • Every answer is cited. Each question quotes the passage it is based on and links to the official document, so you can check it yourself.
  • AI writing and a separate source check. Questions, explanations and guides are drafted with AI tools. A separate AI review checks content against the official sources. A question is published only after that review confirms the answer against the quoted FAA text, that the other choices are wrong, and that the quote appears word for word in the source.
  • Chart questions from data. Sectional chart questions use the current FAA charts, and their answers come from FAA airspace and airport data for the same chart edition.
  • Practice questions, not test questions. The FAA does not publish its test bank, and we do not copy questions from other prep products. Our questions follow the test areas and format so the real test feels familiar.

Sources and updates

Guide pages identify their official sources and show the date of their latest substantive update. Chart examples identify the FAA chart and edition used. A guide's Part 107 HQ byline identifies this site's publishing organization.
